NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY OF A FINAL NEPA ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT FOR THE AMENDMENT OF OPERATIONS SPECIFICATIONS FOR AIR CARRIER OPERATIONS, AMENDMENT OF A FAR PART 139 CERTIFICATE, AND POTENTIAL FUNDING FOR MODIFICATION AND MODULAR EXPANSION OF THE TERMINAL AT THE SNOHOMISH COUNTY AIRPORT/PAINE FIELD
Final Environmental Assessment Available:
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announces the availability of the Final NEPA Environmental Assessment (Final EA) examining the potential impacts of the proposed action. The Final EA will be available on September 14, 2012 for public review and comment. The public comment period runs until October 14, 2012*.
The Final EA will be available on September 14, 2012 in electronic format on the Airport’s Web site at
http://www.painefield.com/airserviceea.html.
CDs of the Final EA are available upon request.

Public Comment Period: Written comments will be accepted until October 14, 2012*.
The purpose of the Public Comment period is to allow comments on the adequacy of the new and revised sections of the Final Environmental Assessment for the introduction of scheduled commercial airline service at the Snohomish County Airport/Paine Field and construction of the modification and modular expansion of the Airport terminal. The new and revised sections of the Final EA that were updated following the December 2009 publication of the Draft EA are clearly explained in an errata sheet prior to the table of contents in the Final EA.
Commenters should specifically cite the new information that is the subject of their comment. All other comments will not be considered further by the agency.
