The Public Comment Period has been Extended: Written comments will now be accepted until
January 29 February 5, 2010.
The purpose of the Public Comment period and Public Hearings is to receive public comment on the
adequacy of a National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Environmental Assessment of the potential
economic, social and environmental consequences of introducing scheduled commercial airline
service at the Snohomish County Airport/Paine Field and constructing a modification and modular
expansion of the Airport terminal. For this to occur, the Federal Aviation Administration must
issue amendments to the Operations Specifications of Horizon Airlines and Allegiant Airlines,
must issue an amendment to the FAR Part 139 Airport Operating Certificate for Snohomish County
Airport/Paine Field and may provide funding from the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) for the
terminal modifications (The Proposed Action).
