Permits are required for all tenant improvement work, building additions, mechanical and plumbing work performed at Paine Field.

Prior to permit approval through the Snohomish County Planning & Development Services, all building construction, expansions and land improvements must be submitted and approved by Bill Dolan, Deputy Director Airfield. Contact Bill at 425-388-5107 prior to permit submittal.

Open this interactive map in a new window.Federal laws to protect airspace around airports like Paine Field require FAA review of projects exceeding certain heights. Individuals or businesses planning construction within the area of the map on the left outlined in blue must determine if an FAA review of their project is required by federal law.

Snohomish County has created a Paine Field Airport interactive map to provide assistance for developers who may need to complete FAA Form 7460-1, "Notice of Proposed Construction or Alteration" to comply with Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), part 77.

By clicking on the interactive map, (visual example shown in the screenshot at left) you can produce a location report to help answer specific items on the form.  The interactive map is located on the Snohomish County website. Click here to use this product.
